Constructor: obj = string () ¶

Constructor: obj = string (in) ¶

Construct a new string array.

The zero-argument constructor creates a new scalar string array whose value is the empty string.

The other constructors construct a new string array by converting various types of inputs.

• chars and cellstrs are converted via cellstr()
• numerics are converted via num2str()
• datetimes are converted via datestr()
